From a market observation to a reviewable decision.

Algora is an ASX-first research workspace. Scanners describe price structure. A trade plan adds an entry, invalidation, target, cost assumptions and a risk budget. Recorded fills and a written review let you compare what happened with what you planned.

A pattern is a hypothesis

A double-sweep expansion is an early observation. It does not establish a protected swing. Developing signals can change before the candle closes. Confirmed signals refer to completed bars; confirmation does not imply a profitable trade. Alignment scores describe rule agreement and are not calibrated probabilities.

Versioned playbooks

Research rules distinguish first-leg opportunities, a new continuation after an earlier target, and late or ranging structures. Relative strength, compression and pullback context are available only when sufficient dated data exists. The desk lists 5 playbooks with their data and validation requirements.

Rule changes are versioned. Saved plans retain the originating setup, engine version, observation time and original terms. These records allow a decision to be reviewed without silently replacing its evidence with a newer scan.

Data availability is part of the result

Scanner data is periodically fetched and may be delayed. Bars and sessions can differ between providers. Missing benchmark, sector or catalyst information remains unavailable. Sample interfaces carry a demo label. An official headline feed is not a complete economic calendar or an ASX announcements service.

Costs and uncertainty

Sizing considers the supplied account equity, risk budget, capital, price distance, estimated costs and available turnover. Other brokerage positions are not automatically included in saved-plan exposure. Stop prices cannot guarantee an exit price. Gaps, spread, slippage, borrow availability, FX and changing margin can make actual losses larger.

What validation requires

Implementation tests verify software rules. Evaluating an investment edge requires a historical universe including failed and delisted securities, corporate actions, decision-time availability, executable fills and costs, unseen time periods and an appropriate benchmark. Ambiguous intrabar stop/target ordering must be treated conservatively. Overlapping signals and correlated holdings must not be counted as independent opportunities.

Algora does not claim that these research playbooks have demonstrated out-of-sample profitability. No orders are placed by the planning workflow.

Private access and ownership

The desk is invitation-only. A shared invitation opens a shared workspace, which is labelled in the product. Individual invitations isolate saved work by invitation; verified account sessions retain their account identity. The financial Journal requires an account. An invitation is not a brokerage account.
